Batman: The Animated Series is one of the greatest superhero TV shows of all time, but fans can't deny its flaws and inconsistencies.

Batman: The Animated Series was one of the most popular animated shows in the 1990s. Nonetheless, the show has its flaws that fans can't deny. Some of these downsides come from watching it as an adult and realizing certain aspects of the series don't hold up or suffer when compared to other shows. Some come from being part of the fandom. These flawed aspects of Batman: The Animated Series unfortunately make being a fan a little more difficult.

10/10 Minor Characters Aren’t Used To Their Fullest Potential

The Batman franchise possesses many versions of the characters. Some are amazing and some miss the mark. One of the most heated debates in the fandom is which versions of characters are better. Is Michelle Pfeiffer a better Catwoman than Anne Hathaway? Does Mark Hamill do a better Joker laugh than Heath Ledger?

The worst part about the Joker is nearly every actor who portrayed him brought something new to the table that fans love. These debates are fun in small doses, but they can quickly grow corrosive. When fans claim that one thing is better than another, the conversation can grow tiring. Batman TAS is a masterpiece in many respects, but that means it's also thrown into any fiery discussion of quality.
