While most characters in The Boys have questionable morals, others are a positive influence.

One of the subtlest superhero satires of the last decade, The Boys effortlessly circumvents simplistic narrative tropes like good and evil. In fact, the only two blameless main characters are Ryan Butcher and Janine Milk — everyone else can be accurately described as morally sketchy. As in real life, most individuals in The Boys tend to look out for themselves, no matter the consequences.

On the other hand, there are a few characters whose positive influence outweighs any negative qualities they may have. This doesn't mean that they should be instantly forgiven for their mistakes, but it certainly makes them more sympathetic and relatable, not to mention exceedingly rare.

Becca may have been a doting wife at one point, but her priorities change following the birth of her son. Billy Butcher, on the other hand, is simply unable to understand her devotion to Ryan, which drives a deeper wedge between them. Becca takes her maternal responsibilities with extreme seriousness, going so far as to reject Billy in favor of Ryan.

Even her dying words revolve around her son, as she makes Billy promise to safeguard him from Homelander. Becca's compassionate nature rubs off on her husband, who eventually develops fatherly feelings for Ryan.
