Rhaenyra and Daemon died the way they lived: fighting. They also died in the same year, 130 AC, which was during the Dance of the Dragons. Unfortunately for Rhaenyra, she was only 33 when she died a terrible death. Rhaenyra had seized the throne from her half-brother Aegon II and was then sentenced to dragon death as a traitor.
Rhaenyra spent her life fighting for the throne and, in the end, died for it. On the other hand, Daemon died a much wilder death after jumping from dragon-back to attack and stab Prince Aemond to avenge his stepson. It is all very dramatic and suits him very well.
