However, there are some villain downfalls so deeply unsatisfying that it provided no catharsis whatsoever to the audience. These villains met their end unceremoniously given how important they were to the story, thanks to terrible execution or simply being done off-screen.
Gloating over the murder of Ryuko's father time and again, Nui Harime was the most annoying villain in Kill La Kill. When Ryuko joined forces with Honnoji Academy and took the fight to the life fibers, it seemed as though there'd finally be a chance for revenge.
However, since Nui sacrificed herself in order to stabilize Ragyo's plans, Ryuko never had the satisfaction of killing her personally. Worse yet, their final fight was only halfway finished, meaning that fans will never know the full extent of Nui's abilities.
